City of Bones by: Cassandra Clare

I am inlove with this book. It is almost my favorite book, or maybe even that. It is written so fantastically, involving all sorts of creatures, but all having their own story. Everything you thought you know about werewolves, vampires, giants and shadow hunters is all twisted and new surprises are brought in. I would give this book more than five stars if possible.

Clary does not have a father, her mom told her he died in a car accident. They live in a small appartment, close to the house of Simon, her best friend. One day, when she decides to go to a club, she sees two men and a woman all the way in the back of a room, forcing another man in. Clary sees a flash of silver and notices, its a knife. She grabbed Simon and told him to get help, not able to wait she goes for it herself though. What she sees is brutal. They killed the man with the blue hair and call themselves  Shaddow Hunters. They want to kill Clary too, since she saw it, but she escapes. When she thought that was wierd, she arrives home with a monster in her appartment and her mom kidnapped. Somehow, Clary defeats the monster, but why does she wake up by one of the three Shaddow Hunters again? And what was that creature? Where is her mom? And genarally......What happend?

Male sure to read the other two brillant parts, City of  Glass and city of Ashes, in Cassandra Clares Triology. You will fall in love and not be able to put the book down, just like me.

Enders Game by: Orson Scott Crad

This book is amazing. Orson Scott Card made a matser piece. It is a must read for anyone, and once you finish part one you wont be able to stop from reading part two, or three,...!!
Ender Wiggin is not an ordinary child. He is only nine years old when the take his monitor away and send him to Battle Shool. Before that, he was struggling with his older brother, Peter, and fearing of leaving his beloved sister, valentine. When Ender arrives at Battle School, it is everything but normal. From the start on the adults isolate him and make everyone his enemy. Ender, seeing right throughit, makes his friends on his own, ignoring the rules. As he makes his freinds, such as Alai or Shen, more enemies are made. He was sent to multiple Armies, being tested constatnly. Besides all the crazy things going on, all this Propoganda and false information is being fed in their minds....are the Buggers really who they think they are? If yes, than why do we kill them, and why dont we try to change it...? The question stays open....

Make sure to read his new book comming out in Januray 2001, "The Lost Gate" if you enjoyed this one!! :)

The Diary of Anne Frank

This book makes me cry. When I read how Anne thought of things as "okay" being in a attic hiding from her death, I thought to myself, "How can this little girl, my age, be so strong?" I would fall to pieces. There isnt even a word to describe it. Stting there caught in an attic. Not making any sound. Whispering to each other. Not playing. No personal belongins. No enjoyment or joy filled in the houses...everything isnt worth living. Then again..isnt anything better than death? This is one strong girl. Doing anything to survive. Fighting till the last breathe being caught and feeling pain for...what?
This is the most inspirering book I have ever read and ever will. No one, even if they tried, would know what to have done. She did everythign perfectly right and what she could have. This is what it means to be...real! I know its hard to review a book like this but if Anne would be here and see justice ruled, she would cry and run home!

I read this book atleast 7 times and still dont have enough. This is the book, that teaches you everthing in life...

Go ask Alice by:Anonymous

I think this is an amazing book! Not only is it respectful, but true! So many children get pulled in with drug problems with such young age every year! I think , no, I know it is a serious problem. When you read "Go ask Alice" you can feel how it is and "know" what it is like and must feel like, although you never had any. The worsed isnt doing it, but not being able to stop. This is one amazing and stunning book about the truth and how teenagers can get in conflicts with drugs which leads to ...problems!

I suggest this book is read by everone, nomatter how olod or young. Everyone should be aware of the consiquences and it should be shared. Wouldnt you want to know what could ruine your life? So go... ask alice!

Breathless by: Lurlene Mcdaniel

What I love about this book is that it has truth in it. I love fantasy, but sometimes I like some true stories. Darla and Travis are together for a longer time and both are seniors at their high school. Cooper is Travis’s best friend. Travis is a diver and Cooper also joined because of him, but Travis is the best in his school and quit frankly the best in State. Darla is proud to have Travis because he is different than the most boyfriends she had, through which her “bad reputation” became famous and the new school gossip.  Then there is Emily, the sister of Travis, who is a sophomore. They all hang out and one day they decide to go to the lake. Travis sees a cliff and decides to jump (rather dive) off.  Everyone freaks out, but what they don’t know, he already did this. He stares down when he is at the top and jumps. As he hits the water, pain strikes him…..

I love this book and especially the ending shocks me. There is not always a happy ending!!

Die Wolke by: Gudrun Pausewang

This Book is one of the most touching stories I have ever read. Yes, it is in German!! I really cried when Janna’s Brother is driven over by a car. You can feel the rush when the people push and yank themselves free to catch the train...and you can feel her heart race when she is standing in the pouring rain. Lost and insecure, she is homeless, lost her family and is diseased by the most dangerous thing, radioactive rays.

I am not going to give away too much, but this is a must-read. It is based on the Tshernobyl accident in Europe, where a nuclear energy station has an accident and radioactive waves are released. She is keeping it realistic but yet has that way of writing, where you start thinking about all the bad set in the world.

My favorite part is, where she is so weak and hurt but still yells at the major because all he cares about is publicity and that it looks good if he talks to some kids that “strahl”. She is so weak and yet, the strongest!

The Wave by: Todd Strasser

What I like most about this book, is that it simply is true. Not only what horribly things are possible, but that you must stand up for yourself and who you are and what you believe in, even if that means being an outsider. So much bad happens and people say it’s not possible to do it again. Honestly, that one person could do so much harm and had to get the idea from somewhere, so what not possible again? Why is it insane? Why is this idea insane, if the others were too? If the idea creating a group of racist and more was? Do you sometimes really know what’s true and not? Isn’t there always someone we naturally trust more, even if that person is wrong? .....

When the class is learning about the KZ times, all student say it isn’t possible to create something like Hitler did again. If I tell you one more step that happens, you will know what is going to happen, because you can’t describe the book in steps. It is more ONE big step. But at the end…. Who proves them wrong? Is being an outsider better than what you commit to? COULD it happen…..

Fresh off the Boat by: Melissa De la Cruz

Vicenza is from Manila, where her best friend Peaches also lives. When she moves to America, she still writes Peaches every week, or even day. She writes her-yes, tells the truth-sort of. She is a new student at Grosvernor High School, but what fun is it without friends, fashion or a boyfriend, because being a ignored geometry partner of her crush Claude doesn’t help either. Working at her parents restaurant and having embarrassing parents form a complete different planet, is another thing. All Vicenza has to do is open her eyes, luck is right there…

Another wonderful story, yes, about love!

The Chocolate Lovers Club by: Carole Mattheus

This book basically represents four women who love one thing CHOCOLATE. Every one of the is complete different, except for the chocolate bit. Lucy Lombard can't resist it - rich, creamy, sweet, delicious chocolate. The other three members are Autumn, Nadia and Chantal. That said you can guess what there club is called, yes, the Chocolate Lovers Club. With a cheating boyfriend who promises he'll change, a flirtatious boss, a gambling husband and a loveless marriage there is one thing that can cure this while the plan is on standby…chocolate.

When you read this book and have to describe it, you want to use the word chocolate over and over again. More or less eat it. So grab the book and get some chocolate and realx for a moment and listen to what they have to say.

Me times Three by: Alex Witchel

In this fabulous book Sandra Berlin decides to marry her high school lover Bucky Ross. All she ever dreamt of can now be fulfilled. Or? If there weren’t two other wives Bucky would have with her. If she would only have known he came in a package. Now everything starts crushing down around her. So if she planned out her live as Bucky’s wife, then the one important question still remains, Who IS Sandra Berlin?

A stunning and lessonable story of a woman, who finds out who she really is, even with her age, because you never know.

Sunlight and Shadow by: Cameron Dokey

In a time when the world was young and many things were quite commonplace that are now entirely forgotten, Sarastro, Mage of the Day, wed Pamina, the Queen of the Night. And in this way was the world complete, for light was joined to dark. For all time would they be joined together. Only the ending of the world could tear them apart. In other words, in the days in which my parents married, there was no such thing as divorce....

Mina is a girl and more than that, belongs to the Dark side. Everyone, especially her father sees that form beginning on, at her birth. To avoid her from staying by the Shadows, they take her to the Sunlight when she turns sixteen. There is always a bad thing to it. Her mother makes a compact with a prince, that if he can free her, he can marry her. But will she really live happily ever after, or must she go through a more than rough patch before?

A wonderful book, plain words, but truly meant. You will not be able to stop…from this minute on…start reading…

The Secret Garden by:Frances Hodgson Burrnet

Everyone knows the story, but do you really KNOW the story like I do? Like others know, that have read the book? Personally, books are usually better than the movies. That is the same by this book. It is so wonderful, that even when you saw the movie you want to read the book. Even if you know the content, you WANT to read the book. Mary is so wise and just simply different from children in her age. She is strong and people open up to her just because she is Mary.

The serious Kiss by: Mary Hogan

Libby hates her life. That’s the first she would say if you asked her about her life. She wants to have her first serious kiss that she and Nadine have always dreamt of. At the end when the worst happened, like moving in a trailer and meeting her grandma that was “dead” for all her 14 years, it is completely different than she imagined.

A loveable book more than could be. 10 star rating and lots of laughs, love and surprise!

I’d tell you I love you, but then I’d have to kill you by: Ally Carter

This is a story about a girl who attends a "special" school which is a school for spies. She meets a normal boy, Josh, but she is definitely not a normal girl. She sneaks out to see him at night and gets help by her three roommates, Bex, Rebecca and Liz. Josh and Cammie are in love but as he sees her walking towards the school with other girls, the secret is out….

This is such a great book and Ally Carter really got out the differences between them. It is a must have on every list!

The Notebook by: Nicholas Sparks

The words of Love…

“I am nothing special; of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts, and I have led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I have loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough.”

This probably says it all. It is one of the most beautiful love stories there are and I wish my life were one like this someday. When you are really in love. You don’t need anything around you but the one you love. When Noah and Allie take the summer together and find love together, Allie leaves to study afterwards. As she falls in love with someone else and Noah writes her a letter everyday for 365 days, Allie gets engaged and soon to be bride. When she sees the days to her wedding com closer she knows something is missing and goes to Noah, where she sees the house he restored. It was like they planned it. She needs to decide and can’t forget that someone will be hurt, but in the end…true love stays alive. I guess you will just have to read to find out what is going to happen!

It’s called a Breakup because it is broken by: Greg Behrendt

If he’s just not that into you didn’t give you the right perspective about break-ups and make-ups, then this book definitely will. for people who have survived a relationship and were dumped, for the ones who are in one but don’t know it’s over and most of for the ones who are ready to love again. With Behnrendt wife’s on his side and telling her own breakup stories, they are even more hilarious and helpful in filling you up about the real reason why break ups are called break ups!!! Another magnificent and heartfelt book about love, just what we were waiting for!!!

He’s just not that into you by: Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo

Boys, Boys, Boys! Love is patient, love is kind, it seems beyond the other fault, for love they say is Blind.....?! Am I in the wrong movie?! Close but ...No! When he isn’t calling you, Not sleeping with you, If he is sleeping with someone else and if you doesn’t want to marry you…. THEN he is just not that into you! Hear the most touching and confusing, but then very romantic, stories of Love. It certainly isn’t a Love guide but the bitter truth. Different Love stories are a history more likely and that’s why it should be told and not forgotten. Men are confusing, but let’s face it so are women. The only thing you can do is learn out of the mistakes, have someone to talk to about it, try again and hope sometime to get the right one! It is a fascinating book about the Truth and you will laugh and just keep nodding and agreeing while you read it. Maybe if you went through the same…? So if you hear a lame excuse…Go to the store and buy yourself some ice cream and ribs because you have just been dumped.

He is just not that into you!
